The Shelton High School NJROTC unit was officially chartered by the U.S. Navy the May 24, 1979 and has been commonplace in the community ever since. Though the unit has changed a lot in the past 40 years, the fighting spirit and pride of Climber Company has remained strong. The company plays an essential role in Shelton community events such as Oyster Fest, Christmas and Forest Festival Parades, Shelton Car Show Off, Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day ceremonies.  We also provide numerous color guard, honor guard and 21-gun salute details.
